ROCK POOL RAMBLE
Suitable for age primary & secondary aged children aged 5+ with adult support
Meeting point: Rockpools opposite the RNLI Lifeboat Station Exmouth
Our rockpool ramble, is a guided session which aims to give you and your child a glimpse into the mysteriously fascinating marine environment – the rockpool. During the session, we will discuss how to keep ourselves and the creatures we find safe by following the seashore code, search and discover extraordinary wildlife, share facts and information and play a game of rockpool bingo!
You will need:
• Sensible grippy footwear – the rocks can be slippery
• Old clothing (clothes may get wet/ dirty)
• Waterproof trousers - these great for adding extra comfort when kneeling on slippery/ wet rocks and surfaces - optional
• Warm clothing/ waterproof jacket – (weather dependent) - it can get cold even when the sun is shining!
• All other equipment will be provided
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
*Adults do not require a ticket to attend this event
* In the event of a water pollution alert on the day it will be at the parents discretion whether they and their child wish to participate. Gloves can be borrowed if needed. No refunds can be given.
*All children must be accompanied by adult/ parents are responsible for their child at all times
*Event photography will be taking place on the day – please notify us at the start of the session if your child is NOT allowed photographs taken and you do not wish for your child’s photo to be used for marketing purposes/ on social media.
